   Matthew  has served as an elder in two congregations, including the Hilltop church. He and his wife of 30 years, Janine, are houseparents at the Shults-Lewis Child and Family Services in Valparaiso Indiana. They are both originally from Michigan. They  have two daughters and five grandchildren.
